Here we come... February 6, 2011!

Why are we doing this?

In April 2010, at the age of 43, Rebecca McLennan suffered a stroke attributable to a rare acquired bone marrow disorder. According to her doctors at the UCSF Medical Center, daily physical exercise is one of the very best ways to hasten her complete recovery and prevent another stroke from occurring.

We decided to participate in the Team in Training program to work up to a higher level of fitness while also contributing to the larger fight against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma. As we train for the olympic distance Marin County Triathalon on October 31, 2010, we're also setting out to raise over $6,000 to advance the medical research that will finally cure blood cancer and bone marrow disorders.
